Gamma AI Student Discount & Pricing 2026: Free, Plus, Pro & Ultra
If you are searching for a Gamma AI student discount, you are probably in the same situation I was in after I started using Gamma for university presentations.
The free plan was good enough to show me why I liked the tool.
Then I started using it more often.
And suddenly the real question was not whether Gamma AI was useful.
It was:
Is there a Gamma student discount, and which Gamma plan is actually worth paying for as a student?
I checked Gamma’s current official pricing pages and compared Free, Plus, Pro, and Ultra from a student perspective.
At the time of writing, I could not verify a universal individual Gamma AI student discount advertised on Gamma’s official pricing or help pages. Gamma does offer a Free plan, plus paid Plus, Pro, and Ultra plans, and its pricing page lets users compare monthly and annual billing.
For most students, my recommendation is simple: start with Gamma Free. If you use Gamma regularly and want to remove Gamma branding or create longer decks in one prompt, Gamma Plus is the paid plan I think makes the most sense.

Is There a Gamma AI Student Discount in 2026?
Based on Gamma’s current official pricing and help pages, I could not find a public student discount that every individual student can claim simply by verifying a university email.
That is different from saying Gamma will never run promotions, regional offers, or education-specific campaigns.
It simply means I do not want to tell students there is an official Gamma student coupon when I cannot verify one on Gamma’s own pages.
Gamma currently promotes its Free plan and paid individual plans on the public pricing page. The pricing page also includes monthly and annual billing options.
So, for most students, the practical question is not “where is the student code?”
It is:
Which Gamma plan gives me enough value for the amount of presentations I actually create?
Gamma AI Pricing for Students: Quick Comparison
| Plan | Best for | What matters most for students |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Trying Gamma and occasional class presentations | Up to 10 cards per prompt, imports from PDF/PPTX, exports to PDF, PPTX, PNG, and Google Slides |
| Plus | Students who regularly create presentations | Up to 20 cards per prompt, removes Gamma branding, advanced AI image models |
| Pro | Heavy users and professional-style work | Up to 60 cards per prompt, custom branding/fonts, analytics, advanced sharing, API access, workspace templates |
| Ultra | Very heavy AI users | Up to 75 cards per prompt, access to advanced text/image/video models, much higher AI usage |
Gamma’s public pricing page lists both monthly and annual billing options. Because pricing can change by date, region, tax, or billing cycle, I recommend checking Gamma’s current checkout page before subscribing rather than relying on an old price screenshot.
Gamma AI Free Plan: Is It Enough for Students?
For a lot of students, yes.
This is one of the reasons I do not think students should automatically pay for Gamma.
Gamma’s current Free plan includes:
- Up to 10 cards per prompt
- Simple presentations, documents, websites, social content, and images
- Import from PDF and PPTX
- Export to PDF, PPTX, PNG, and Google Slides
That is already enough to build a normal class presentation and decide whether you actually like Gamma’s workflow.
I used Gamma because I was tired of spending more time on slide formatting than on the presentation itself.
In my Gamma AI review for students, I explained how I used it to build a presentation in about 15 minutes.
If you only create a few presentations per semester, I would start with Free.
Gamma Plus: The Best Paid Plan for Most Students?
In my opinion, yes.
If I were recommending one paid Gamma plan to a student who regularly makes presentations, I would start with Plus.
Gamma currently lists these major Plus upgrades over Free:
- Up to 20 cards per prompt
- Removal of Gamma branding
- Advanced AI image models
Those features may not sound as impressive as API access or advanced analytics.
But for students, I think they solve more relevant problems.
Longer presentations in one prompt
Ten cards can be enough for a short class presentation.
For seminar presentations, project reviews, research presentations, or longer university assignments, 20 cards gives Gamma more room to build the full structure in one generation.
No Gamma branding
This is probably the clearest paid upgrade for students.
For a casual assignment, Gamma branding may not matter.
For an important seminar, portfolio presentation, internship project, pitch competition, or major university project, a cleaner final presentation can feel more professional.
That is why I called Plus the sweet spot in my guide on whether Gamma AI is worth paying for as a student.
Is Gamma Pro Worth It for Students?
For the average student, I think Gamma Pro is usually more than you need.
Gamma currently lists Pro features including:
- Up to 60 cards per prompt
- Premium AI image models
- Custom branding and fonts
- Detailed analytics and advanced sharing
- Up to 10 custom domains
- API access
- Workspace templates
These are strong features.
But I would ask a student one very simple question:
Do you need analytics, API access, custom domains, and workspace templates for your coursework?
Probably not.
Pro makes much more sense if you are a student who is also:
- Freelancing
- Running a startup
- Building client presentations
- Working in marketing or consulting
- Managing a student organization
- Creating content professionally
For normal coursework, I would usually choose Free or Plus.
What About Gamma Ultra?
Gamma’s Ultra plan is aimed at much heavier AI usage.
The current official pricing page lists:
- Up to 75 cards per prompt
- Access to the most advanced AI models for text, images, and video
- Up to 100 custom domains
- Early access to new features
- 20Ć more AI usage compared with the lower plans as described by Gamma
My honest student recommendation?
Most students can ignore Ultra.
If you already use Gamma heavily enough to need advanced text, image, and video models at high volume, you probably know why you need it.
I would not tell a normal university student to pay for the highest plan simply because it has the most features.
Does Gamma Offer Annual Billing Discounts?
Gamma’s official pricing page clearly lets users compare monthly and annual billing and includes an FAQ specifically about discounts on annual billing.
Because the exact pricing shown can change, I recommend switching between monthly and annual billing on Gamma’s current pricing page and comparing the total cost before subscribing.
For students, I would only choose annual billing if you already know you use Gamma regularly.
Do not pay for a full year because you have one presentation due next week.
How Students Can Save Money on Gamma AI
Even without a verified universal Gamma student discount, there are still a few sensible ways to avoid overpaying.
1. Start with Gamma Free
Use the free plan on a real assignment first.
If 10 cards per prompt and Gamma branding do not bother you, you may not need to pay at all.
2. Upgrade only when you hit a real limit
I would upgrade when I repeatedly need longer generations, want to remove branding, or use Gamma often enough that the paid features save real time.
3. Compare monthly and annual billing
Gamma currently offers both billing views. Compare them before subscribing.
4. Check current promotions instead of trusting old coupon pages
AI tool pricing changes quickly.
I would rather check Gamma’s current offer than use a random “100% working” code from a page that has not been updated in a year.

Check Gamma AI Pricing āGamma Free vs Plus vs Pro vs Ultra: My Student Recommendation
Here is the simplest way I would choose:
- Choose Gamma Free if you make occasional class presentations and mainly want AI help with structure and design.
- Choose Gamma Plus if you regularly create presentations, want up to 20 cards per prompt, and want to remove Gamma branding.
- Choose Gamma Pro if you also use Gamma for professional, freelance, startup, marketing, or client work.
- Choose Gamma Ultra only if you are a very heavy AI user and specifically need higher usage and advanced text, image, and video models.
For most students who decide to pay, Gamma Plus is my pick.
It adds the features students are most likely to notice without paying for a long list of professional features they may never use.
Is Gamma AI Worth Paying For as a Student?
I think Gamma is worth paying for when it becomes part of your regular workflow.
Not when it looks cool.
Not because everyone on social media is using AI presentation tools.
And not because you have one class presentation this semester.
I would pay when Gamma repeatedly saves me hours.
That is exactly why I kept using it after the first presentation I built with it.

My recommendation for students is:
- Start with Gamma Free.
